AVONDALE, Ariz. -- Three people are in custody and two others are recovering from injuries after a shooting took place at an Avondale party early Sunday morning.
Avondale police said officers responded to the area of Buckeye Road and 123rd Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting.
Officers learned that a group of people had arrived to the party when a fight broke out between two groups.
Shots were fired during the dispute, which resulted in two people needing treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said they have since taken three people into custody.
No further details have been made available, but police said the investigation remains ongoing.
