YUMA, Ariz. (AP) -- Funeral services for an Arizona Department of Public Safety officer are scheduled Wednesday in Yuma.

Tim Huffman had responded to an accident along Interstate 8 on May 6 when a tanker truck smashed into his vehicle. No one else was injured, but authorities say one officer had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit by the truck.

Services for Huffman begin Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Yuma Civic Plaza following a procession from the mortuary.

Huffman was a 14-year DPS veteran and the 29th officer killed in the line of duty. He was 47.

A Yuma man is facing charges in connection with the crash, including one count of manslaughter.
