PHOENIX -- What are you passionate about? What do you love to do? Who do you love spending time with? Those are the moments we are celebrating in our Good Morning Arizona promo called "Here and Now."
For most of us those "Here and Now" moments are the cherished times spent with family, friends, pets and hobbies. That’s why most of our shoot locations were in our own anchors’ homes with their families.
Our shoot took us to April Warneke’s house where we captured her son Greer feeding her cereal. And let me just say that Greer is the happiest kid around! And baby Charlie made his promo debut strapped to mom while she prepared dinner. We also went to Gina Maravilla’s house, where she combed her little girl’s hair while her son looked on in the background. You’ll see more of him in our next spot. From there we went to Kaley O’Kelley’s house where we got her with ‘the Pauls’!
And we can always count on a shoot with Scott Pasmore to kick up the action! We caught up with Scott on his motorcycle at South Mountain Park.
A trip out to Scottsdale landed us at the hanger Bruce Haffner calls his chopper home. What swank digs! Check out the photos that show plane details throughout, including interior windows and a conference table just to name a few. For Bruce’s shot we brought our camera along but we also attached a Go Pro to the outside window of the chopper---and held our breath. Luckily it came back intact and as you’ll see from the spot, we nabbed a great shot of the Chopper Guy in action!
For fun camaraderie we took Scott and Javier to Copper Star Coffee. We had a blast! It’s situated in a repurposed old gas station on 7th Avenue in the Melrose district. Let me tell you the carrot cake in the picture was yummy! A baker makes all their treats, fresh on the premises. Special thanks to Bill Sandweg and all the patrons that day who let us invade their own Here and Now moment! We love supporting local and we hope you do, too. Check them out sometime!
And last but not least we rounded up the whole kit and caboodle and did a closing group shot at The Hermosa Inn. What a beautiful and tranquil resort with real Arizona flavor. It is a real hidden gem-literally! Lots of locals don’t even know it exists. A great big thanks to Pam Swartz, Kendra Schultz and the whole Hermosa staff. Check them out for a staycation or just a fabulous meal. And don’t forget to get the Monkey Bread. We seriously went ape for it!
I had a lot of fun documenting our adventures and I hope you enjoy them, too!
