PHOENIX -- The Tempe attorney accused of shooting his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend has entered a not guilty plea in the case.

Joseph Palmisano, 48, entered the plea Thursday to charges of attempted murder and kidnapping.

Palmisano was arrested on April 18 after he allegedly shot Ryan Hall.

Hall and Palmisano’s girlfriend, Catelyn Foster, have a child together.

According to court documents, Hall was dropping off his son with Foster when the shooting occurred.

Palmisano had reportedly accused Hall of hacking into his computer and tapping his telephone.

Court documents revealed that after shooting Hall, Palmisano stood over him and stated, “Do you feel that?... That’s you dying boy.”

Hall’s father, Ken Hall, spoke to 3TV and said the bullet nicked a lung and chipped a vertebrae. Ken Hall said his son also suffered two broken ribs.

Palmisano is due back in court on June 25.
