PHOENIX -- A series of weak weather disturbances continues to move through our region, leading to below-average temperatures for another day or two.
Although there is a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the high country today, the Valley will stay dry.
We'll warm up to the upper 80s today under mostly sunny skies. Temperatures should be in the low 80s when commencement ceremonies begin at Arizona State University this evening with mostly clear skies and light winds expected.
Tomorrow, another weak storm system moves through Arizona, leading to another round of afternoon showers and potentially thunderstorms in the high country. There's a very slight chance for a stray shower in the Valley, but it's more likely we'll see partly sunny skies for your Friday and highs near 92 degrees.
Over the weekend, high pressure becomes the dominant weather feature and we'll see warm and dry conditions all the way into early next week. You can expect sunny weather all weekend with mid 90s on Saturday and upper 90s for Sunday, Mother's Day. Triple digits are likely as we start early next week.
