YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. -- A woman remains behind bars in Yavapai County after she allegedly drove drunk and ran into a fire station.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested Cher Lyn, 53, on Friday night after she crashed into Sedona Fire District Station Number Three, which is located in the Village of Oak Creek.

Lyn suffered injuries in the crash, while her Jeep Liberty received major damage.

A door to the fire station and a fire engine were also damaged. YCSO said it may cost tens of thousands of dollars to fix the damage.

Lyn was treated at the scene and then taken to the Verde Valley Medical Center.

She was eventually booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on criminal damage and DUI charges.
