PHOENIX -- The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality issued a no burn day for Maricopa County on Friday. A large dust cloud from New Mexico floated over the central portion of Arizona creating an unhealthy level of dust.

It’s expected that dust will be flushed out by Saturday, but in the meantime, air quality will remain poor.

Temperatures will be in the 90s for the weekend and we’ll start to cloud up on Sunday. Also we’ll see some breeziness Sunday.

Then on Monday, an unusual late spring storm system will enter Arizona dropping temperatures and bringing the Valley a chance for rain.

Better chances for showers will be in the higher elevations but anytime we have ANY chance for rain this time of year, it’s pretty big news.

For sure, we’ll see cooler temperatures next week with highs through Thursday only in the 80s.
