Robbery suspects tie up Chandler store employee, steal money from safe

CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Police are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects in an armed robbery at a Cricket Wireless store in Chandler.

At approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday, two black males, one armed with a handgun, entered the store at Arizona Avenue and Ray Road and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store's safe.

Detective Seth Tyler said one of the suspects tied up a female employee during the robbery.

Both suspects are described as 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build.

One suspect was wearing a white T-shirt with dark jeans and a North Carolina Tar Heels blue baseball cap. The second suspect was wearing a white T-shirt, dark jeans, one black glove and a black baseball cap with a red bill.

Police released surveillance video of the robbery.

Anyone with information relating to the identity of one or both suspects is asked to contact the Chandler Police Department at 480-782-4130 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the suspects.
