Overnight lows dipped to the 60s and 70s but will quickly warm to the mid 90s by noon today. By mid-afternoon, the mercury will rise to about 102 degrees.
The average afternoon high for this time of year is just 89 degrees in the Valley.
Temperatures will soar to about 100 degrees tomorrow with more sunshine and breezy weather on tap for Tuesday. Winds are expected between 10 and 20 mph in the Valley, with 30 mph gusts possible. Even stronger winds are forecast for the high country, with a Red Flag Warning issued for Northern Arizona tomorrow for dry and windy conditions.
The heat will ease up a bit after tomorrow, but warm and dry conditions persist with mid 90s and sunshine in the forecast all the way through next weekend.
