Worker dies after shock, fall from roof in Glendale

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A worker died after he was shocked and fell off the roof of a business in Glendale late Thursday morning.

The man was an employee of the business near Missouri and 51st avenues.

According to the Glendale Fire Department, he was welding when he came in contact with live wires. He was thrown from the roof and fell about 20 feet to the ground.

The man, whose name has not been released, suffered severe burns to his upper body.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
