PHOENIX -- Is Arizona Governor Jan Brewer using her Facebook page to make a statement?

Brewer is in the Big Apple for a Republican Women's Club meeting. On Monday she posted a picture of her herself holding a giant "Double Gulp" soda.

New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg had proposed a ban on sugary drinks. The rule would have banned sales of sugary sodas larger than 16 ounces by restaurants, movie theaters, pushcarts and sports arenas. A judge later shot down the ban.

Brewer's message accompanying the photo, read: "After walking around New York City today, I stopped to enjoy a refreshing and extra large Double Gulp from 7-11. Cheers Mayor Mike Bloomberg! #freedom"

The governor's post certainly has people talking. And already thousands of her Facebook fans have "liked" the picture. You can see the photo on her Facebook page.
