GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A 62-year-old man died Friday after he was reportedly shot by Phoenix police detectives.
Glendale police said they responded to a business complex near 44th Avenue and Olive after receiving reports that police had just shot someone in the parking lot.
When officers arrived they learned that the detectives were attempting to contact a 62-year-old man who had several felony warrants.
At some point, the man allegedly pointed what police thought was a weapon at them.
The Phoenix police detectives responded by shooting the man.
Glendale Fire pronounced the man dead at the scene.
No officers were injured during the incident.
Glendale homicide detectives are now investigating the incident.
