PEORIA, Ariz. -- Peoria police said they arrested a man this week who allegedly robbed the same Chase bank on two separate occasions.

According to police, 51-year-old Jose Salvador Moreno robbed the Chase bank near 91st Avenue and Northern on Jan. 7 and then again on March 9.

During the first robbery, Moreno allegedly gave a teller a note stating that he was armed and wanted money.

Moreno was given an undisclosed amount of money before he fled the scene.

During the second robbery, Moreno allegedly approached a teller and demanded that they fill his bag with money. Moreno was again given cash before he fled the bank.

Peoria police said they recently received a tip that allowed investigators to identify Moreno as the suspect in both robberies.

Police spoke with Moreno on Wednesday and he allegedly admitted to committing both robberies.

Detectives reportedly went on to find evidence inside Moreno's home that linked him to both crimes.

Moreno was subsequently arrested and booked into jail for armed robbery.
