Window cleaningPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- It’s gorgeous out and the windows really need a good cleaning but it’s not anyone’s favorite job. Here’s an easy way to do outside and inside windows.
Outside: In a bucket mix a solution of 2 quarts warm water and ½ cup of corn startch. Stir well. Using a natural sponge, wash the outside windows with the solution and dry with paper towels.
Tough job window cleaner: This is for windows with screen and bug stains. Combine the following: 1 pint rubbing alcohol, 2 tablespoons of liquid dish soap, 2 tablespoons ammonia. NO WATER! Using a gentle scrubbing sponge rub over the stained areas. Rinse and dry. This is great for auto windshields too.
Got streaks: Use a blackboard or dry erase board eraser to erase the streaks! It will remove them immediately without creating more smears.
Inside window cleaner: Combine 2 cups of water, ½ cup white vinegar and 2 teaspoons Dr Bonners Castile Soap and pout into a spray bottle. Just spray and wipe. For mirrors, spray a cloth with the solution, wipe the mirror and then dry.
