Phoenix police seek suspect in sexual assault of elderly woman

PHOENIX -- Phoenix police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who sexually assaulted an 89-year-old woman.

Sgt. Steve Martos said a man knocked on the door of the victim's home near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road between 5:30 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. Sunday. The woman opened the door and the man forced his way into her home.

Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect described as a Hispanic male, 35 years old, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, 130 to 135 pounds with dark hair, dark eyes and large stud earrings in both ears.
