PHOENIX (AP) -- A suspect has been arrested in a hit-and-run accident that killed a bicyclist in Phoenix last month.
Phoenix police announced Thursday that 30-year-old Christopher Forrest has been booked into jail on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal traffic collision.
Officers were called out to the area of 7th Street and Roeser on March 9 and say they found 47-year-old Angel Hernandez-Sotelo severely injured.
Police say he died at the scene.
Investigators say Hernandez-Sotelo was crossing the road mid-block on a bicycle at the time of the crash.
A second vehicle also struck Hernandez-Sotelo, but police were unable to get a description of the vehicle or its license plate number.
Police didn't immediately say what led to Forrest's arrest or if he had a lawyer yet.
