Performance® Bicycle to Host Grand Opening Celebration
Performance Bicycle, the nation's largest independent cycling retailer, is opening its sixth Arizona store in Mesa and will host a Grand Opening ribbon-cutting celebration on Friday, April 12. In addition to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the following Grand Opening offerings will be available April 12-14:
- $20 Performance Bicycle money cards for shoppers who line up before 9 a.m. each day
- Up to 60 percent off door buster deals. Sign up for the email list and receive 20 percent off the next purchase of $200 or less.
The new 6,500-square-foot store features a layout with more than 3,000 cycling items including bikes, cycling specific clothing, sports nutrition, components and accessories. The store will also feature Performance Bicycle's signature Spin Doctor Service and Repair department.

Celebrate Empanadas April 8-14
$8.25 plate of empanadas all week long
5 lbs. ground beef 85/15
1 cup onions, 1/4-inch diced
1/2 cup chopped garlic
2 jalapeños, 1/4-inch diced
1 Tbsp. of Kosher salt
1-1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
1/2 Tbsp. cumin
1/3 Tbsp. TQLA spice
1/2 cup Roma tomatoes, 1/4-inch diced
After cooking add:
1 cup cranberries
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1-1/2 Tbsp. chile powder
In a large rondo add the meat and brown for 10 minutes until half cooked. Add in the onions, garlic, and jalapeños, and continue to cook for 5 minutes. Strain the meat and add the remaining spices, tomatoes and green chile, cook another 5 minutes. Place on sheet pan to cool.
After cooled add:
2 cups grated Monterrey Jack Cheese
1/2 cup cotija cheese
Mix in a stainless-steel bowl. Put in proper container.
