PHOENIX -- Gas prices across the state of Arizona have declined for a fourth straight week.
AAA Arizona announced Thursday that the statewide average fell more than 2 cents this week to $3.661 per gallon.
Tucson has the lowest price average in the state at $3.429 per gallon, while Scottsdale’s $3.801 per gallon is the highest in Arizona.
“While the state fuel average only fell a couple of cents this week, motorists are continuing to see month and year-ago margins increase,” said Linda Gorman, director of communications and public affairs for AAA Arizona. “As far as drivers are concerned, any downward movement at the pump is movement in the right direction.”
The average national gas price dropped by almost a penny this week to $3.636 per gallon.
Wyoming has the lowest average of any state in the Continental U.S. at $3.347 per gallon. California’s $4.046 per gallon is the country’s highest.
