3 Vehicles hit pedestrian in Phoenix; police search for 2 drivers

PHOENIX -- Three vehicles hit a pedestrian Wednesday night and Phoenix police are asking for the public's help to locate two of the drivers who fled the scene.

Police said a 39-year-old man was crossing 27th Avenue mid-block just north of Bethany Home Road around 8 p.m. when he was struck by an older-model, faded-red Nissan Sentra. The driver fled the scene westbound on Keim Drive after the collision.

A Dodge minivan then hit the pedestrian. The female driver remained at the scene.

A third vehicle, described as a yellow Nissan Sentra, also struck the vehicle and the driver fled northbound on 27th Avenue.

The victim died at the scene. His name has not been released.
