April Ten Under $10 Drug Store Beauty ProductsPosted: Updated:
With the weather heating up this month, I'm showing a lot of summer beauty buys plus a fun one for the kids, too. As I do every month, Walgreens beauty expert Bianca gives me what's new or unique in the drug store beauty aisle and here is what we recommend for April...
*Australian Gold Sheer Coverage SPF 45 Faces with Self-Tanner ($8.99 at selected Walgreens & drug stores) -- Water resistant and with a broad spectrum protection of a SPF 45, this sunscreen is also a gradual self tanner that builds color in 2 to 3 days. It is oil free and contains a Kakadu plum extract that is native to an Australian fruit that contains Vitamin C. Since it is hypoallergenic, it is safe to use on the face. Bianca tells me that this line is one of her best sellers and is her own personal fave, too.
*got2b Beach Trippin Salt-Infusion Waving Spray ($5.99 at selected Walgreens & drug stores) -- A sea salt texturizing spray that creates beachy waves in your hair. The natural salts infuse tousled waves, volume and texture along with a built-in moisturizer that prevents dryness over time.
*Goody 2in1 DoubleWear Headwrap + Necklace ($9.99 at selected Walgreens & drug stores) -- Goody came out with doublewear items last year that I loved, so I was happy to see that they expanded the line. I like the Floating Beaded Strands that can be worn as an attractive headband or as a pretty necklace and I also dig the Goody 2in1 Ponytailer and bracelet duo. This is a smart buy that lets you multi-task your beauty routine with one economical purchase.
*Skintimate Skin Therapy Moisturizing Shave Gel Lotionized with Vitamin E ($2.99 at selected Walgreens & drug stores) - The Vitamin E and Shea Butter in this shaving cream leaves your legs silky smooth, just in time for shorts season. This is also another one Bianca's favorite lines.
*Essie Resort 2013 Trend Collection Nail Polish ($8 at Walgreens) -- Essie has some fabulous Spring and summer colors and the "in the cab-ana" blue is the Tiffany's shade of blue and Bianca tells me that customers are loving this summer shade. Other great new colors include a pretty teal called "first timer" and a bright coral that is labeled "come here!" plus I really like the lovely lavender that is titled "under where?" and they are all pretty and fun.
*L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Advanced Skin Repair Daily Serum -- ($5.99 at Walgreens) -- Who doesn't love Diane Keaton, so when I saw that she was promoting this anti-aging L'Oreal line, I had to try it and I like it. Plus L'Oreal is selling smaller sample sizes for only $5.99 to give us a chance to try the line at a good price.
*L'Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Golden Balm ($5.99 at Walgreens) This is for the neck and face and Bianca and I both agree that this is good stuff.
*wet n' wild MegaVolume Mascara in retro colors ($3.29 at Walgreens) -- Bright and right colors for the season, this mascara comes in vibrant shades like Cashmere Plum and Retro Pink. Fun!
*Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer ($8.29 at Walgreens) -- New from Vaseline, this is a spray lotion that gives a continuous application that moisturizes in seconds. It is non-greasy and Bianca and I both like the Pure Aloe scent.
Something New For Your Kids' Smile
*New FireFly Fluoride Foam Toothpaste ($2.49 at Walgreens) This toothpaste for kids isn’t a traditional paste or gel. It has a foamy texture and kids squirt it right in their mouths. No more countertop spills or clogged tubes, which parents will appreciate. Unlike regular toothpaste, it’s immediate foaming action flushes out food debris from those hard-to-reach places. It is also recommended for kids that wear braces who tend to brush too hard and risk breaking wires. It si available in the following characters: Angry Birds, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Barbie or FireFly.
So that is our list for April. Did we leave something out that you love that sells for under $10 at Walgreens? Tell us in the comments section and remember to check out my website at www.managedmoms.com for more beauty news, recipes, parenting talk, travel reviews, pet stuff and more.
