PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- A Prescott man is accused of assaulting his live-in girlfriend's two children.

Michael Gentilcore, 25, was booked into Yavapai County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault, criminal damage, assault and disorderly conduct.

Prescott police officers responded to a domestic violence call at the couple's apartment Monday night.

Police were told that Gentilcore became upset with his girlfriend's 7-year-old son and hit him in the stomach and pulled his hair.

The boy's 15-year-old sister attempted to defend her brother and Gentilcore allegedly put her in a headlock and punched her in the face several times.

An 18-year-old friend was visiting the apartment and attempted to restrain Gentilcore but was also punched in the face several times, according to police.

Gentilcore reportedly punched a hole in a wall of the apartment then fled the scene before officers arrived.

Gentilcore was located at a friend's home Tuesday morning and was taken into custody.
