PHOENIX -- Another cool night is on tap for the Valley as high pressure breaks down. Look for clear skies in Phoenix with a low of 58 on Sunday morning.

In the mountains, specifically along the Mogollon Rim northward, there may be a few thunderstorms that develop Saturday evening and again on Sunday as a couple of weak disturbances move through the area.

For Sunday in the Valley, we will see thin clouds from time to time and breezy winds of up to 20 miles per hour. High temperatures will tumble a few degrees lower than the last couple of days, but will still be well above normal for this time of year. Look for a high of 87 in Phoenix.

The cooling trend continues in the Valley Monday and Tuesday with quiet conditions. Look for Valley highs to top out in the mid 80s.

On Wednesday, our forecasting models indicate a weak storm system will approach the area. Some models take the track through northern Arizona, while others take the track through southern Arizona.

For now, we’ll keep the Valley dry with cloudy skies, breezy winds and highs in the mid 80s. The mountains will have a small chance of showers with cooler temperatures and breezy winds.

The end of the week looks pretty uneventful. Expect sunny to mostly sunny skies in the Valley, with temperatures dropping another couple of degrees into the low 80s.
