Sending valley girls to prom in stylePosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Prom season is just around the corner. And high school students everywhere are already planning their big night out.
This year Brillare Hairdressing Academy is making prom more affordable and fun this spring for teens around the Valley. Kaley O'Kelley found out all about the contest on Wednesday's Good Morning Arizona.
What girl wouldn’t want to get ready for prom night in style? Brillare Academy is offering one lucky high school student and up to five of her best friends the chance to win a pre-prom pampering party.
By entering on Brillare Academy’s facebook page, a Valley high school student could win updos, make-up and chauffeured transportation to Brillare for up to six girls on prom day. Entries must be received by March 30th, 2013.
The upscale cosmetology school is also offering a prom updo special for clients who want the latest celebrity hairstyles for the big night. During the months of March and April, Brillare Academy is offering special occasion styling for only $20, using luxurious Italian hair styling products from Davines.
Have a prom dress collecting dust in the closet? Brillare Academy is also teaming up with non-profit organization, Fairy Godmothers, to collect gently used prom dresses. Both Brillare Academy locations will be accepting dresses through April 30th. And, as a “thank you”, everyone who donates a dress will receive a $10 Brillare Academy gift certificate for services.
Fairy Godmothers Inc. is a non-profit 501C3 organization that helps junior and senior high school girls, who otherwise would not be able, to attend their prom. Their mission for the past 13 years has been to provide a special high school prom experience for qualified high school girls whose financial situation would otherwise preclude their ability to attend their prom.
Brillare Hairdressing Academy offers day, midday and night cosmetology programs as well as affordable beauty services. All services are performed by students under the supervision of licensed instructors. Campuses are located in Scottsdale at the Scottsdale Quarter, 15147 N Scottsdale Road, Suite H-300, phone: 480.994.4222, and in Phoenix at 15210 S. 50th Street, Suite 150, phone: 480.940.5300.
