Father, son fatally shot in Phoenix home invasion

PHOENIX -- Phoenix police said a father and son are dead following a home invasion early Friday morning.

Police spokesman Sgt. Tommy Thompson identified the shooting victims as Parish Ocampo, 21, and Ulises Ocampo, 46.

Thompson said two men forced entry into the family's home near Adams and 18th streets at about 2:30 a.m.

Police Lt. Steve Rosen said multiple shots were fired throughout the house and the victims were found in separate areas of the home.

A woman and a young male of undetermined age also were in the home but were not hurt.

The suspects fled without taking anything. There is no description of a possible suspect vehicle.

One suspect is described as a heavy-set black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 230 pounds. He was wearing a black short-sleeve T-shirt, jeans and had a bandanna over his face. The other male suspect is described as 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants and had a ski mask covering his head. Both had handguns.

At this point, detectives have found no indication that the victims or their family members were involved in any criminal activity.
