TEMPE, Ariz. -- Tempe police said they found child pornography on a computer belonging to a 22-year-old Mesa man accused of sending an explicit photograph to a teenage girl last month.

According to police, on Feb. 22 Joshua Vehmeier contacted a 16-year-old who had posted an ad on Craigslist advertising baby-sitting services.

During the exchange of emails, Vehmeier sent an explicit photograph to her, according to Tempe police spokesman Sgt. Michael Pooley.

Tempe detectives determined that Vehmeier knew the victim was a minor when he sent the picture.

Police served a search warrant on Vehmeier's home and seized his computer and other electronics. Pooley said several images of child pornography were found on the computer.

Vehmeier was arrested Wednesday for sexual exploitation of a minor and furnishing harmful items to a minor. He was booked into the Maricopa County Jail.

Detectives are continuing to work this investigation. Anyone with information can contact the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311.
