Arizona's top prospects get ready to return to the fieldPosted: Updated:
CHANDLER, Ariz. -- This Saturday, the top high school football prospects in the state of Arizona will be in action once again as they compete in the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour at Hamilton High School.
Saturday’s camp will be the first of 17 regional camps around the nation and will allow the prospects an opportunity to showcase their abilities to dozens of scouts who will be attending. The camp is designed for only the elite athletes in the Phoenix/Tucson region and will be by invitation only.
Some of the top prospects attending the camp include: Desert Mountain Quarterback Kyle Allen, Mountain Pointe Athlete Jalen Brown, Hamilton Offensive Tackle Casey Tucker, Chaparral Tight End Trevor Wood, Saguaro junior Christian Kirk, Chandler junior Bryce Perkins and many more.
The camp will give the prospects a unique opportunity to compete against each other in drills, skills competitions, and 1-on-1 work.
The most important aspect of the camp is that it allows the participants to show what kind of athletes they are without the pads on. In today’s world, High School Football is just as big as the NFL to many. To prospects, these camps are the collegiate equivalent of the NFL combine.
The Varsity Zone will be on hand at the camp and will have a complete breakdown of the events which take place to go along with interviews and features of the athletes competing.
