SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A 32-year-old man is facing indecent exposure and criminal trespassing charges after a victim positively identified him, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

Patrick Martinson was arrested Saturday and transported to the Maricopa County Jail.

Scottsdale police officers responded to a call of a man exposing himself in the pool area of the Saguaro Hotel near Indian School Road and Drinkwater Boulevard at about 11:55 p.m. Thursday. About 90 minutes later, another woman reported seeing a man next to her hotel room window and said he appeared to be looking into the room.

Officers searched the area and found a male fitting the description walking through the nearby San Marin Apartments, but they released him at the scene pending further evidence.

On Friday, detectives reviewing the information went back to the man's apartment in the San Marin complex and questioned him about other indecent exposure and criminal trespass cases in the same area.

Police have been investigating several incidents since the beginning of February. A man entered several premises without permission and approached women while they were alone.

The first incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 2 at the Palladium Apartments. Police said the suspect entered a woman's apartment through an unlocked glass door while she was sleeping. He reportedly had his pants down, exposing himself. The suspect fled as the victim woke up and screamed.

A second incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on Feb. 3 at the Howard Johnson Hotel. Police said a man clad only in underwear climbed through an unlocked window of a first-floor room. The victim screamed at the man and he fled.

Nearly four hours later, an incident occurred at the San Marin Apartments. The suspect entered through an unlocked sliding glass door. He reportedly pulled down his pants and underwear. The victim woke up and kicked and punched him and the suspect left the apartment.

A photo lineup was conducted and Martinson was positively identified as the suspect in one of the cases.

This investigation is ongoing.
