AAA names top cars of of 2013Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Triple-A has come out with its list of best cars for 2013. Chosen for excellence in design, comfort, safety, value, efficiency and performance, winners are named in 15 vehicle categories.
On Friday's Good Morning Arizona, Gina Maravilla got the scoop on some of those topping the list.
AAA auto expert Jim Prueter gave us an up-close look at the vehicle named "best full-sized truck," the Ram 1500.
"They re-did the truck, just the right touches," Prueter says. "Completely changed the interior. But they've also got the best gas mileage that you're going to get in a full-sized truck."
The Prius is no longer the top electric vehicle. The Ford C-Max was voted top green hybrid electric car. "We love what Ford did to that C-Max this year;" Prueter says."It's less money, more room, more content than Prius, and better gas mileage."
This Ford Escape is the best SUV crossover in the under $25K dollar category. "Ford Escape completely re-did this, inside and out," Prueter says. "It not only looks good, drives good, has excellent gas mileage."
