Phoenix weather: Sunshine returnsPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A winter storm that dumped snow and rain on Arizona Monday is headed east. However, it leaves behind a rather chilly air mass.
Under clear skies, Valley temperatures were in the 30s Tuesday morning and were only expected to warm to the mid 50s. It's also expected to be breezy, especially this afternoon, when westerly winds of around 15 mph are expected. T
Tonight is expected to be just as cold as last night, with morning lows again expected in the 30s. A few Valley spots could drop below freezing and temperatures in the teens are likely in the high country.
A warmup is likely starting Wednesday, with Valley highs in the low 60s Wednesday, followed by low 70s Thursday and mid 70s over the weekend. Overnight lows will be in the low 50s by the weekend.
No rain is expected in the next 5-6 days.
