TEMPE, Ariz. -- A 6-month-old boy and his father who had been reported missing over the weekend have been found safe.

Tempe police had asked for the public's help locating the boy and his father who were last seen on Saturday.

Dylan Jordan Palomo Rodriguez and his father, Jesse Rueben Rodriguez, 26, were last seen leaving their home near McClintock Drive and Guadalupe Road at about 3 p.m.

Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Pooley said Rodriguez left with Dylan to "run errands" and was supposed to be back around 7 p.m. but never returned.

Relatives reported them missing late Sunday evening.

Pooley said Rodriguez took limited supplies for his son and has never been gone with Dylan for an extended amount of time.

On Monday afternoon, police said Rodriguez had dropped the child off at a family member's house and is also safe.
