PHOENIX -- A woman who was arrested after Maricopa County sheriff's deputies found two methamphetamine labs at her Sun City home was sentenced on Wednesday.

Brenda Lipe, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse in November in a plea agreement. She was sentenced to three months in jail and three years of probation.

Lipe and her husband, Lancelot Lipe, were arrested last April after deputies responded to their home to arrest Lancelot for allegedly assaulting a deputy the previous week.

While at the house, deputies found a meth lab in the home and in the garage.

Deputies said the labs were active and within just a few feet of where the couple's children would play.
