MESA, Ariz. -- There were some scary moments for a pilot and his passengers over the Valley on Saturday.

The plane was going to land at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway airport, but the nose gear wasn’t opening properly.

The pilot had to circle around several times to burn fuel.

The gear collapsed when the plane landed, but the landing was an otherwise safe landing.

None of the four people aboard the plane suffered any injuries.
