Police said 19-year-old Andrew “Applez” Jaurequi was arrested Thursday afternoon and booked into the Coconino County Jail on a warrant for a probation violation and attempted homicide.

Jaurequi and 28-year-old Louis Leyvas “Sauce” Sanchez are accused of attacking a man on Dec. 1 with a machete.

The victim told police that a previous confrontation led Sanchez and Jaurequi to attack him.

Police said Sanchez still has yet to be located, and should be considered armed and dangerous.
