PHOENIX -- As a ridge of high pressure builds back into the desert Southwest, we can expect warmer than normal temperatures for the first half of the week.
In fact, we might even see a couple of record highs set around Arizona. In the Valley, metro Phoenix will see highs in the low 80s while in the mountains, we can expect highs in the 50s, 60s and low 70s.
That ridge of high pressure will begin to break down by the weekend and high temps will fall back into the mid-70s, still above normal.
But early next week, a cooler dry mass will be influencing ouR weather and desert highs are looking like they’ll be in the 60s. Still, that storm system does not look like it’s going to have a lot of moisture for Arizona.
