PHOENIX -- Even though a series of storm systems will be passing through the western states the next several days, they will be far enough to the north of Arizona that little to no precipitation is expected, even in northern portions of the state.

For sure, the Valley will stay dry through the weekend but will see high clouds from time to time. Valley highs through the weekend will be in the mid-to-upper 70s.

Northern California will get the brunt of the storms. Some of the coastal areas could see more than 6 inches of rain by Sunday. In the mountains of the Sierra Nevada, 3 to 4 feet of snow is likely at the highest elevations.

The Pacific Northwest will also get some rain and snow but not as much as Northern California.

Next week for metro Phoenix, we will experience a significant warm up with high temperatures back into the low 80s. And that means there will be a couple of days that we may flirt with record high temperatures.

As it is, with one day left in November, we’re about to finish off one of the warmest Novembers on record for Phoenix.
