Prescott man wanted for assaulting wifePosted: Updated:
PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- A Prescott man is once again facing trouble with the law for allegedly beating his wife.
Prescott Police said they responded to an apartment early Thursday morning after receiving a report of an assault.
After arriving on the scene, officers spoke with Waywinn Elkins, who had a bloody face and a possibly broken nose.
Elkins told police that her husband, 44-year-old Mark Elkins, had hit her several times and choked her inside their home. She went on to say that Mark Elkins had fled the area when she left the apartment to call for help.
Police say Mark Elkins was just recently released from the Yavapai County Jail for a similar assault against his wife.
He is now facing multiple felony domestic violence charges, including aggravated assault.
Mark Elkins is Caucasian, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and approximately 180 pounds. He has gray hair, multiple tattoos and a long beard.
Anyone with any information about Mark Elkins’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Prescott Police Department at 928-445-3131 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
