Police searching for suspects following shooting at Phoenix park

PHOENIX -- Phoenix Police are searching for three men believed to be responsible for a shooting at a Valley park.

Police responded to Sueno Park near 43rd Avenue and Encanto Boulevard on Saturday evening after receiving reports of shots fired.

Officers arrived to discover that a woman was suffering from a gunshot wound. The woman was rushed to a local hospital where she was listed in critical condition.

After speaking with witnesses, police said they learned that three Hispanic males in their 20s had arrived at the park with two handguns and a rifle.

The three men were said to have fled the scene following the shooting.

Police searched the area, but have yet to locate the suspects.

Police said they don’t yet have a motive for the shooting, and don’t know if the woman was the intended target.
