Phoenix PD arrest man in kidnapping, assault casePosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Phoenix Police have arrested a man suspected of breaking into a woman’s apartment and leaving her unconscious and tied up inside her home.
On Nov. 16, officers responded to an apartment complex in the area of Chandler Boulevard and 32nd Street after someone reported hearing glass break and seeing a man standing next to the window of an apartment.
Officers noticed a broken window when they reached the building, and when they received no response from inside, they began searching the apartment.
Police subsequently found an unconscious woman on a bed with her hands bound behind her back.
The woman was taken to the Family Advocacy Center where she was examined and interviewed. She was then taken to a local hospital for treatment for injuries that included bruising and ligature marks.
After gathering evidence from the apartment and speaking with the victim, police said they were able to determine that 28-year-old David Love was inside the apartment at the time the crime occurred.
Love was located and arrested on Wednesday. Following his arrest, police said Love admitted to his role in the crime.
Love has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, and burglary. Sexual assault charges could also be filed after the laboratory analysis is completed.
