GILBERT, Ariz. -- Two brothers face charges of aggravated robbery, after they reportedly tried to rob a dollar store and strong-arm the manager.

Police say 20 year old Dylan Wroe and his brother 22 year old Joshua Wroe, entered the 99-cent store near Power and Elliot in Gilbert this weekend,  and started filling shopping bags with merchandise from the shelves.

But when the pair allegedly tried to leave the store without paying for the goods, the store manager attempted to stop them.

But police tell us one of the suspects pushed the 64 year old manager onto the ground, and started hitting him.

Three female store employees then stepped in and tried to help the manager.  But that’s when the other suspect went after them. The assault left one of the employees with a minor injury.

The suspects dropped the bags merchandise and ran out of the store.

Police caught up with one of the men at another store in the same complex. Officers later caught up with the other man.

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on charges of aggravated robbery.

During the investigation, officers learned that one of the robbers had recently completed a job application at the 99 Cent Store.
