AVONDALE, Ariz. -- An Avondale woman was shot and killed Monday morning and police would like to speak with a man they are calling a person of interest.

Police officers responded to a home near Lower Buckeye Road and 110th Drive after neighbors reported hearing gunshots at about 8:20 a.m. Monday

Avondale police spokesman Sgt. Brandon Busse said Donella Clauschee, 28, was found lying next to her vehicle in the garage. Avondale Fire Department personnel were unable to resuscitate her.

The woman's 4-year-old daughter was in a car seat inside the vehicle. She was unharmed.

Busse said the shooting does not appear to be self-inflicted and police are investigating it as a homicide.

Police would like to speak with Michael Hall, 41, regarding his whereabouts during the incident.
