PHOENIX -- A couple in Phoenix is hoping someone will return their priceless necklace.

Over the summer, someone broke into Frank and Susan Schwakopf’s home.

A thief left with most of their jewelry and a vial attached to a chain with their son’s ashes in it.

“A part of him is missing and I just want him back. I pray every day that somebody might return it,” said Susan.

Two years ago, Frank the third died, in a freak accident.

He was pinned between two Fed-ex trailers on the job.

A tragic accident followed by this heartbreaking theft.

Engraved on the side of the vial is their son's favorite mythical creature, a dragon.

A heart shaped necklace was also stolen.

A photo of Susan and her son as a child is engraved in the heart.

“It's just one of the many times my son would come up and give me a hug and I just cherish that picture,” said Susan.

The Schwakopf's don't care about the rest of their stolen belongings, they just want their son's ashes returned.

“Find some way to get it back to us. You know where we're at. You can put it in our mailbox,” said Frank.

Frank visits pawn shops hoping to find the vial, but so far no luck.

Call police if you know about the theft.
