PHOENIX -- Mostly cloudy conditions were found across much of the state Thursday, as a mass of high and mid-level clouds streamed in from the sub-tropics.

Those clouds were being spun up into the state from an area of low pressure located west of California in the Pacific.

The air mass may produce a few light showers in northern Arizona and in the southeast corner of the state. But at this point, it appears we won’t see any rain in the Valley.

Due to the clouds, temperatures were down significantly Thursday compared with the previous afternoon.

On Wednesday, metro Phoenix temperatures reached into the low 80s while late afternoon temperatures on Thursday were running in the low-to-mid 70s.

Friday and Saturday, the clouds will clear and we’ll see mostly sunny conditions with highs right around 80.

The Thanksgiving Day forecast for Arizona is still looking pretty nice with mostly sunny conditions and seasonal temperatures expected statewide.
