PHOENIX -- Valley rocker and philanthropist Bret Michaels is getting ready for his first annual charity concert and auction to benefit his Life Rocks Foundation

Michaels invited me into his North Scottsdale home and gave me the grand tour.

He said his office is part business and part pleasure. It's filled with rock memorabilia from Michaels' long career as the front man for the band Poison and as a solo artist. The walls of the office are adorned with pictures of his career, gold and silver albums, guitars and other interesting and fun things.

Michaels' charity concert and auction will take place on Dec. 1 at Celebrity Theatre. He says every cent raised will go to his Life Rocks Foundation, which supports numerous causes including diabetes research and support for our troops.

Tickets run between $36 and $56.
