SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Police said an investigation into the deaths of a Scottsdale couple has revealed that the husband shot his wife while she slept then turned the gun on himself.

Daniel R. Peralta, 58, and Laura M. Peralta, 52, were found dead inside their home near 104th Street and Sweetwater Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said the couple's 23-year-old son reported that he was awakened by gunshots and found his parents dead.

On Friday, police said they uncovered evidence that the couple had been arguing the night before.

Police said they had not received any prior reports of domestic violence.

Daniel Peralta was CEO of Delta Mutual, Inc. The company has an office about a mile from the couple's home.

Laura was the owner of a dance therapy studio in Scottsdale.
