TEMPE, Ariz. -- Police are searching for three people who robbed a Tempe McDonald's in what police described as a "very brazen attack."
It happened at about 5 a.m. right after the McDonald's and Priest Drive and Rose Garden Lane opened.
According to police, three armed people walked into the restaurant and forced the employees into the freezer. They then demanded that the manager open the safe, took what they wanted and then fled the scene.
"They came in with guns, a very brazen attack on this business," said Sgt. Mike Pooley of the Tempe Police Department.
Aerial video from the scene showed several police cars in the restaurant parking lot.
Pooley said officers don't have a good description of the suspects. All they know at this point is that there were two black men and one black woman. It's not clear if they left in a vehicle or on foot. It's also not known how much money they took.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported, Pooley said.
