PHOENIX -- A Valley woman has pleaded guilty to allegations that she abused her three children by operating two methamphetamine labs in her Sun City home.

Brenda Lipe entered a guilty plea on Friday to one charge of child abuse. She’s due back in court on December 7 for sentencing.

Lipe and her husband, Lancelot Lipe, were arrested on April 30 after deputies with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to their home to arrest Lancelot Lipe for allegedly assaulting a deputy the week before.

While at the house, deputies found a meth lab in the home and in the garage.

Deputies said the labs were active, and within just a few feet of where the Lipe’s children would play.

Lancelot Lipe was arrested for assault and multiple drug offenses. Brenda Lipe was also originally booked into jail on drug charges.
