PHOENIX -- Phoenix Police have identified the two men arrested during a burglary last week, and say a third suspect is still on the loose.

Jay Christopher Sowell, 22, and Ubaldo Argandona, 23, are both facing multiple criminal charges including second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal trespassing.

According to police, Sowell and Argandona broke into a home last Thursday morning in the area of 19th Ave. and Bethany Home Rd.

The resident locked herself in her bedroom and called 9-1-1, and when police arrived, Argandona and Sowell fled the home into the surrounding neighborhood.

Argandona was confronted by an officer in a nearby alley, at which time he reportedly acted as if he was going to surrender.

As the officer went to place Argandona under arrest, he took off running down the alley. Argandona was subsequently shot with a Taser and arrested as he attempted to climb a wall.

Police said a K9 unit located Sowell hiding in a shed on private property. Sowell reportedly refused to exit the shed, and was bitten by the police dog before being arrested.

Sowell eventually admitted that he and Argandona wanted to steal items from the home and sell them for money.

According to police, a third unknown individual had driven Argandona and Sowell to the house. That person fled the area when officers arrived and has yet to be located.
