PHOENIX -- Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate an armed robbery suspect.

Around midnight on Sept. 17, the suspect entered the QuikTrip near 19th Avenue and Beardsley Road in Phoenix and approached the clerk working behind the counter. He demanded money and told the clerk that he was armed with a handgun.

The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot at an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds with short hair, a goatee and a teardrop tattoo under his left eye. He was wearing a gray suit at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or silentwitness.org. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered in the case.
