Phoenix weather: Warm Halloween, cooler by weekendPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- We have a quiet weather pattern setting up over the Southwest. It's a stark contrast to what we are seeing in the Northeast, where remnants of Hurricane Sandy are still devastating the region.
The Valley will see a ridge of high pressure returning. This will give us above-average conditions through Thursday.
Towards the end of the work week, we will see an area of low pressure, which is now developing in the Pacific Northwest, move closer to us. As that weak system progresses, we will see cloudy skies and a five-degree drop by Friday.
Expect our high for Tuesday to reach 89 degrees, followed by a warm Halloween topping out at 90.
