PHOENIX -- Maricopa County sheriff's deputies arrested two men after discovering a stash house in Phoenix.

In September, deputies conducted an investigation into a marijuana-smuggling group and seized $347,000 in cash after subjects attempted to purchase several hundred pounds of marijuana, according to MCSO spokesman Jeff Sprong.

That investigation led them to a home near Seventh Avenue and Broadway Road that was suspected of being a stash house.

Sprong said deputies watched as a suspected load of marijuana was delivered to the home early Thursday morning. They obtained a search warrant and seized nearly 200 pounds of marijuana and a Glock .40-caliber pistol.

The marijuana has a street value of $80,000.

Juan Martinez, 54, an illegal immigrant, was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Armando Angulo, 35, was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail.
